Shirwa Ali - Provisional Psychologist

Meet Shirwa…

Hello!

My name is Shirwa Ali and I am a provisional psychologist here at Daring Greatly Psychological Services. Helping others has always been my passion. With this as my driving force, I embarked on a decade-long career in law enforcement. Looking back at my career, and my life as a whole, the commonality I found in moments and days where I truly felt fulfilled was when my interactions were rooted in compassion, empathy and understanding.

As a provisional psychologist my goal is to afford clients the opportunity to be heard without judgement and to be seen with unconditional positive regard. I believe that, despite our pitfalls and shortcomings, we are all experts on ourselves. As such, I want to help those I work with get “unstuck” by working together to better understand themselves and their symptoms. In my practice, I rely on evidence-based interventions and include an array of therapeutic techniques within sessions to reach the goals we set together. I look forward to accompanying you on your journey.
