Payment & Insurance

Payment can be made at the beginning of your session either by Cash, Debit, Visa, MasterCard or e-transfer. Many clients may be covered by private insurance or employer benefits. Please inquire with your insurance or benefit provider regarding the details of your coverage. Some insurance plans will cover the full cost of a therapy session, while others do not. All plans have a maximum that can be billed per annum. Some insurance plans may require a referral letter from a medical practitioner. Obtaining this information, as well as reimbursement from an insurance company, is your responsibility unless you are covered by one of the insurance companies we are registered with.

Daring Greatly Psychological is registered to direct bill to the following insurance companies:

  • Alberta Blue Cross

  • First Nations & Inuit Health Benefits

  • CanadaLife

  • First Canadian

  • Chamber of Commerce

  • Medavie/Veterans Affairs

For any companies not listed, please note that you will receive a receipt at the time of payment so you can seek reimbursement immediately. Any fees that are not covered by insurance or benefits are tax-deductible as part of health care expenses on your income tax return. It is our policy to maintain a valid credit card on file as backup for all clients seeking direct billing.

Missed or cancelled sessions without advance notice are charged the full session fee. This charge is normally not covered by insurance policies.
