Hello!

My name is Rebecca Ferdinand and I am an intern counselling student under the supervision of Registered Psychologist, Cherise Gardipee. I approach therapy as a collaborative journey embracing individual uniqueness and offering a compassionate, safe, and restful space where you can show up as your most authentic self. Together we will explore your strengths, tend to areas you want to explore, and create meaningful change that aligns with your healing goals.

With a background in customer service, I approach everyone with genuine curiosity and respect. I have been fortunate to work directly with many people from different walks of life. I also had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with an organization over the past 12 years that works with adults with developmental disabilities; getting to work directly with the clients and alongside staff was rewarding as I created many beautiful memories, and it solidified my passion for helping others feel understood and celebrated for their uniqueness. I bring a creative perspective with practical knowledge alongside my education to approach healing and therapy; and I continue to be guided by a strong commitment to authentic empathetic, and culturally competent care.

I intend to create a therapeutic space that is safe, mutually collaborative, where people can reconnect with themselves, and be vulnerable without fear of judgement. My deep passion of helping others achieve their goals and reach their highest potential is guided by my admiration in human resiliency and growth. My approach to therapy is trauma informed and integrative as it draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therpay (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based strategies. Therapy with me is sacred and rooted in empathy and genuine care. Together we will celebrate your accomplishments and walk together sowing the seeds of your potential in the areas you wish to world through. I will meet you wherever you are on your healing journey without judgement. Thank you for taking the time to consider my support on your sacred healing journey.

When I am not in the clinic you can find me enjoying nature walks with my husband and our French Bulldog, Oreo; we love immersing ourselves in nature whether that be in our backyard or in the Rocky Mountains. My husband and I are also big foodies and love trying new spots and discovering hidden gems! I consider myself a lifelong student and love watching and learning through documentaries and audiobooks.
