Iva Lang - Provisional Psychologist

Meet Iva…

Hello! I am Iva Lang, a Registered Provisional Psychologist.

I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents and adults as they navigate life's challenges, offering a warm and welcoming space where they feel heard, understood and supported.

My path into the counselling field has been shaped by over ten years of frontline experience supporting individuals and families across a wide range of settings, including those with diverse disabilities and communication needs. Over the past five years, I've worked extensively with children and adolescents who have experienced sexual abuse and other forms of complex trauma.

Each of these experiences has taught me just how deeply personal an individual's journey can be. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. Our experiences, identities and histories shape how we make sense of the world and I believe our therapeutic work should honour that uniqueness. My approach is relational, trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from various evidence-based approaches. I offer couples counselling informed by the Gottman Method, helping partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust and deepen their connection.

At the core of my approach is presence. My intention is to support clients in reconnecting with their inner resources, building emotional flexibility and moving toward a life that feels aligned with their authentic selves.

Outside of counselling, you'll often find me exploring new places, hiking or snowboarding!

“You have the power to create great changes for yourself.”
